Umm...WTF?

So there I was at my local Mission neighborhood Safeway (also affectionately known as Crapway due to it's magnificently deficient produce section) on Saturday perusing les fruits when I stumble across these little freaks of nature: Doughnut Peaches. For $7.99 a pound! Since when should tiny fruit equal inflated prices? Can someone please tell me what is wrong with a regular sized peach? Does this have something to do with supermodel diets or Manarexia? The same goes for those stupid tiny banana's that everyone (except me) showed up to school with in 7th grade. And while we're at it, let's address the issue of square watermelons; what in god's name do the farmer's have against spheres? If they were looking to improve upon the peach, maybe they could have addressed the issue of fuzz? Oh wait they did—they are called nectarines.
